Welcome, Baby!

On May 31, 5:18 am, we welcomed Conrad Ulysses, 9 pounds, 15 ounces, 22.5 inches, into our family. It was a very easy delivery compared with my last two and we went home from the hospital the very next day.

His older siblings are adjusting well to the new addition.

  1. Congratulations to your family! He looks so healthy. :) 9+ lbs= “easier” delivery, ack! My family and I wish you a healthy adjustment period.

  2. Congratulations Candace! I love the name and he’s a cutie! So glad it was an easy delivery for you :) Welcome Conrad!

@J. Marie: Thank you! Baby #2 was 10 lbs, 4 oz… So Conrad was actually 5 oz smaller! I think the easier labor was mostly thanks to a calmer midwife & assisting nurse this time!

  4. Yay! Welcome to the world, Conrad! Congratulations to you and your family!

  5. Wowee.

(For the record, my second was a lot better for the reasons you mentioned. There’s a lot to this birthing business. I’m reading “Birth Matters” by Ina May Gaskin with some of the gals around town. It’s eye-opening and certainly offers explanations for the troubles and good points of Zoë and Eleni’s births.)

  6. Love those cuties!

  7. He is precious! Congratulations! It looks like everyone is adjusting well too! yay!
