Happy Veteran’s Day!
We got together with a friend and baked patriotic sugar cookies and made simple cards. Most of these are going to an assisted living home that has about a dozen residents who are Veterans. The children also made cards for their Daddy, who is a veteran of the conflict in Iraq.
Please take a moment today to talk about patriotism and duty and sacrifice with your children in an age appropriate way–and to thank a veteran if you have the opportunity!
