Share a Spirit of Giving This Holiday Season
In the hustle and bustle of a busy month, it is easy to lose the “reason for the season”. Whether you are celebrating a religious Holiday or not this month, December is a good time to pause and reflect.
To me, more important than academic or financial success, is raising children who have a sense of joy, fulfillment, gratitude, and generosity.
LeapFrog asked me to share Tips for Teaching Giving as part of their weekly Holiday Countdown.
I love how my children get so excited about being able to help!
Helping others is a big self-confidence boost. Discuss your child’s interests and talents—performing at a nursing home, creating a website for a local charity, etc. can make your child feel 10 times her size!
I hope you will come read the rest of the tips and share how you inspire generosity in your kids!
