Happy Veteran’s Day!

We got together with a friend and baked patriotic sugar cookies and made simple cards. Most of these are going to an assisted living home that has about a dozen residents who are Veterans. The children also made cards for their Daddy, who is a veteran of the conflict in Iraq. This is a difficult post for me to write. In addition to having been sick the last week, I always have a little trouble putting into words my thoughts about Veteran’s Day.
